The first few weeks back in Oxford have been very fruitful for OUGC. The Club has gathered together the most promising new talent - which is in plentiful supply, and after two club trials the weekend fixtures are into full swing.

The University has contested five matches so far:

vs. BB&O Seniors, 8/10/11, Witney Lakes GC: the University lost 6.5 - 3.5

vs. Woburn GC, 15/10/11; the University won 9.5 - 5.5

vs. Denham GC, 16/10/11; the University won 7.5 - 4.5

vs. Little Aston GC, 22/10/11; the University won 12 - 6

vs. The Wignorns GS, 23/10/11, Blackwell GC; match halved 6 - 6

The two club trials were contested at Huntercombe GC, which provided a very stern test for all players in tricky conditions. Congratulations to Jim Mercurio and Gaber Burnik, who won the first and second trials respectively, each with a score of 73.

The Blues Squad for the year was announced earlier this week, with 17 players making the cut. This group will train each Wednesday with coach John Cook at Witney Lakes.
